Singapore FinTech Festival 2023 To Focus on Promise and Pitfalls of AI

Singapore, November 13, 2023… The eighth edition of the Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF) will begin this week from November 14 to 17, 2023, convening leaders and experts from around the world in finance, technology and public policy. In addition to focusing on Artificial Intelligence (AI), SFF 2023 will facilitate dialogues on restructuring the financial system, preparing for future risks in technology and climate, and boosting entrepreneurs and the future technology workforce.

2 The central theme of SFF 2023 will revolve around “AI forever. AI forever? Some projections indicate that generative AI alone could boost global GDP by nearly $7 trillion over the next decade, coupled with the widespread adoption of AI in business operations. At the same time, there is considerable caution about some risks inherent in AI. SFF 2023 will delve into the promises and pitfalls of AI, providing a platform to explore a unified vision for the future, harnessing its benefits and mitigating its risks.

3 SFF 2023 will build on previous discussions on how to drive low-carbon transitions, expand financial access for underserved populations, strengthen digital economic resilience, and scale promising AI and Web3 solutions regionally and globally.

4 Invitation-only conference ahead of SFF 2023 main conference Perspectives on elephants on November 14, which will bring together regulators, policymakers, industry leaders and investors for a full-day program comprising two key components:

  • He Capital meets political dialogue will bring together influential policymakers and investors to discuss the pressing challenges in capital investment, value creation and policymaking relevant to AI.
  • He Public-Private Tables will feature open public-private sector leadership dialogues to produce actionable outcomes, ranging from white papers to announcements of new commitments.

8 He SFF Exhibition will host a record number of nearly 700 exhibitors and 36 international pavilions in five thematic zones: Technology, ESG, Founders, Regulation and Talent. There will be one-on-one meeting opportunities for attendees to connect with top-tier investors in the Founders Zone, industry leaders and mentors in the Talent Zone, and regulators and central bankers from more than 30 jurisdictions in the Regulation Zone.

9 He Innovation Lab Tracking will take place from November 14 to 17The week-long Innovation Lab Crawl will take place all day on November 14 and only in the afternoons during the SFF 2023 Conference, November 15-17. 10 Continuing its emphasis on skills and knowledge development, SFF 2023 will offer Certification programs Delivered in partnership with Singapore's top universities.
