Springfieldโ€™s Week 6 top performers

Week 6 of the high school football season is here.

Each week, The State Journal-Register will analyze the top-performing teams and players from across the Springfield area.

Here's our list for week 6.

Jake Seman, Williamsville

The quarterback completed 15 of 20 passes for 295 yards and three touchdowns as the Bullets, fifth-ranked in Class 3A, slipped away from North Mac and improved to 5-1 with a 52-28 victory at the Sangamo Conference. Seman threw two touchdowns to Will Kistner and another to Ethan Hinds. Both Kistner and Hinds finished with three receptions each and 63 yards each. Seman also rushed for 45 yards with a TD.

Jack Knudson, Chatham Glenwood

The freshman quarterback continued his breakneck pace by completing 12 of 19 passes for 299 yards, four touchdowns and an interception in the Titans' 48-14 Eighth Central State Conference victory over Southeast on the night of the return to home.

Knudson put the Titans on top with just 20 seconds left with a 59-yard drive for Tyzhon Randell. Mia Gerger hit the first of her four successful point bonus shots for a 7-0 lead. In the second quarter, Knudson found Jacob Tedrow and Zeke Baxter for TD passes, then connected with Tedrow again in the third.
