New Delhi EnergyWatch Office: Sterlite Power announced on Thursday the commissioning of its sixth transmission project in Brazil built with an investment of Rs 1.6 billion. The project, Marituba, involved the development of a 344 km, 500 kV transmission corridor connecting Brazil's largest hydroelectric plant in Tucuru with the Bel m metropolitan region to deliver up to 1,000 MW of green power, according to a company statement.
From power of sterlight Foray into Brazil in 2017, Sterlite Power has built a significant presence in the country, acquiring 13 projects through the global greenfield auction process.
