SEAN SMITH: That's the opening bell on Wall Street. We want to cover where we see today's trading action taking place in early action. We are seeing some upward movement. If you take a look, Jared, if you can move the Dow up, some of the price action we're seeing at the open. We are seeing gains of approximately 2/10 percent.

The S&P is rising even higher today. Once again, many investors did not see any big moves at the open. They are waiting for the CPI numbers to be released tomorrow before the bell rings, which will give us some sort of idea as to when the Fed might issue its first rate cut. But again, there is some bullish movement at the opening here.

JARED BLIKRE: Yes, some solid gains here. We expect the small-cap Russell 2000 to rise another half a percent. And let's review the action of the sector.

We had a mix, so now everything is green. A fairly bullish start to the day. I haven't seen this in a while. Avant-garde materials. That's a 6/10 percent increase, XLB.

Then we have technology, then communication services, where we have Meta, for example, and Alphabet, also consumer discretionary, which is home to Amazon and Tesla. So mega caps will probably mirror what we're seeing here. Energy also outperformed.

We'll get to WTI and we've been talking about crude oil here. It's the NASDAQ 100. I mentioned consumer discretionary. Amazon rises more than 1%. And then in technology, we managed to get Broadcom up over 1%. We are simply seeing a lot of bullish action here at the beginning.
