Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.45%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma Index closed on a negative note on Wednesday.

Shares of Torrent Pharmaceuticals (up 2.05%), Sanofi India (up 1.96%), Zydus Lifesciences (up 0.52%), Glaxosmithkline Pharmaceuticals (up 0.43%) and Cipla (up 0.2%) finished the day higher. winners in the package.

On the other hand, Aurobindo Pharma (decrease of 3.41 percent), Lupin (decrease of 1.24 percent), Gland Pharma (decrease of 1.18 percent), Laurus (decrease of 1.0 percent) and Ipca Laboratories (decrease of 0.98 percent) finished as the main losers of the day.

The Nifty Pharma Index closed 0.45% lower at 12,398.55.

The benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended 104.75 points lower at 18,181.75, while the BSE Sensex was down 371.83 points at 61,560.64.
