Stocks to Watch on March 21: Wipro, TVS Motor, Torrent Power, RVNL, Krystal

Actions to take into account on March 21, 2024: Equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty are expecting a gap start on Thursday tracking the strength in global equities.

At 7:30 am, Gift Nifty futures were up 150 points at 22,077 from the last close of Nifty futures.

Asian shares rose on Thursday after US stocks hit new highs overnight, as the US Federal Reserve left unchanged its forecast for three rate cuts this year, while delivering a status quo result on the key interest rate.

The S&P 500 index rose 0.9 percent to a new high, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq 100 index rose 1.2 percent. US futures also rose further in the early morning hours.

The Hang Seng rose more than 2 percent, the Kopsi 1.8 percent and the Nikkei jumped more than 1 percent. The ASX 200 rose 0.5 per cent.

New listing: Krystal Integrated Services will make its market debut today with an issue price of Rs 715 per share.


Stocks without dividends: Castrol India, Ksolves India and Patanjali Foods will start trading ex-dividend today.


Results: Exicom Tele-Systems and Platinum Industries will release their third quarter results today.


Wipro: Wipro has appointed Anne-Marie Rowland as chief executive officer (CEO) of Capco. Rowland, currently managing partner of Capco's UK and Ireland business, will take on the role of chief executive of Capco from 1 April 2024.


TV motor: Its board has approved a plan of arrangement between the company and its shareholders, under which it will issue cumulative non-convertible redeemable preference shares of up to Rs 1,900 crore as bonus. The bonus ratio is 4 preferred shares for every 1 equity share held as of the record date.


NTPC: The company will issue NCDs worth Rs 1,500 crore with a coupon of 7.48 per cent per annum for a period of two years.


Prince Pipes: The company has entered into an asset purchase agreement with Klaus Waren Fixtures and NM Shah to purchase assets, including the "Aquel" brand, along with all intellectual property, land, buildings, civil structures and other office equipment in two tranches .


Torrent power: The company will acquire Solapur Transmission for Rs 7 crore from PFC to set up a transmission system for evacuation of power from renewable energy projects in Maharashtra.


Vikas Nigam Railway: The company has emerged as the lowest bidder for a railway project worth Rs 167 crore for Southeastern Railway.


NBCC: Me.It has been selected by the government to provide project management consultancy services for the construction of a residential and chancery complex in CGI, Jeddah.

Wockhardt: The company launched a QIP with a floor price of Rs 544.02 per share.


Scientist: The company's 50/50 joint venture with HALโ€”Infotech HAL has filed an application to initiate corporate insolvency resolution process before NCLT, Bangalore Bench.
