Stocks to Watch: Zomato, Vedanta, Torrent Power, Yes Bank, Reliance Power

New Delhi: The following are the stocks that are likely to steal the spotlight on Monday:

Zomato: The company received three orders from the sales tax officer of Delhi and the deputy commissioner of Bengaluru, alleging underpayment of GST along with interest and penalties applicable under the Central Goods and Services Tax, totaling $4.24 crores. These orders are for fiscal year 2018.

vedanta: You have received two orders worth $48.82 crore, along with applicable interest and penalty of 10% of GST demand, from the Additional Commissioner, GST and Central Excise Commission, confirming the demand for GST input tax credit availed during the financial years 2018 and 2019 due to issues of interpretation in terms of the relevant provisions of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act.

Dr. Reddy's Laboratories: Subsidiary Dr. Reddy's Laboratories has acquired a 6.46% stake in Israel's Edity Therapeutics Ltd for $2 million. On the other hand, the company received an order from the GST authorities regarding levy of taxes, including interest and penalty.

torrent power: Has incorporation of a wholly owned subsidiary Torrent Green Hydrogen Private Ltd. The newly incorporated entity will manufacture, assemble, purchase, purify, store, transport, experiment, supply, market and generally deal in hydrogen, its by-products and/ or its derivatives such as ammonia, chemicals, compressed natural gas and mineral substances.

Yes Bank: In connection with the sale of NPA portfolio to JC Flowers ARC on December 17, 2022, the private sector lender received $150 crores from a single trust in the security receipts portfolio.

Power of Trust: The company has transferred the development rights and associated physical assets of the proposed 1,200 MW KalaiII hydropower project in the Lohit river basin of Arunachal Pradesh to THDC for $128.39 crores.

PVR Inox: The trustee of Nippon Life India has acquired 2 lakh equity shares, equivalent to 0.2% of the paid-up capital, of the company through open market transactions. Nippon Life's stake in the company now stands at 7.54%, up from 7.33% previously.

GPT infraprojects: The company has been declared the lowest bidder for an order value of $267 crores. The project involves construction of a four-lane Raniganj bypass of a length of 5,261 km on NH-60 (new NH-14) from NH 60 km 275.20 to NH km 478.18 -2 (new NH 19) at Paschim Bardhaman, West Bengal, in EPC Mode.

Karur Vysya Bank: The Reserve Bank of India has granted approval to ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company to acquire up to 9.95% of the paid-up share capital or voting rights of Karur Vysya Bank.

Dalmia Bharat: The subsidiary of Dalmia Cement company (Bharat) has received a GST demand order from the State Revenue Officer, Lalgudi, Tamil Nadu, from $62.38 crore along with penalty due to alleged non-reversal of input tax credit by customers and tax liability calculated on the basis of alleged stock mismatch for FY2018.
