Despite some improvements, the M16 is still one of the weakest weapons in all of Call of Duty: Warzone. The classic burst assault rifle has never broken into the meta in any way and the player base has rarely chosen it over most other ARs. However, you may feel inclined to give the M16 one last chance in Warzone, and if you do, you'll want to make sure you're using its best overall loadout.
The M16 has quite a history in Call of Duty; That alone makes it a popular weapon for both new and returning players. However, without the proper attachments equipped, the M16 will be a marksman that will lose out to almost every other weapon in Warzone. If you run the risk of grabbing your M16 from a Loadout Drop, you should use the AR's most powerful accessory set. Otherwise, you will be at a huge disadvantage no matter how you use the M16.

The best M16 loadout in Warzone
For my M16 loadout, I opted to give the AR as much accuracy and stability as possible. While you could try to increase mobility, that won't make much of a difference overall with the M16.
- Muzzle: Herald D20
- Optical: Aim OP-V4
- Under the barrel: FTAC 56 Ripper
- Rear grip: Mine ZX Grip
- Ammunition: 5.56 High speed
First, I slightly increased the damage range, recoil control, and bullet velocity of the M16 using the Harbinger D20 suppressor and the FTAC Ripper 56. Then, the recoil control is improved again with the Sakin ZX Grip.
Finally, the Aim OP-V4 optic is a perfect scope for medium and long range engagements, which is where you want to keep your firefights with the M16.
