New Delhi: promoted by Sudhir Mehta Torrent Power closed an agreement to acquire 156MW wind power projects of CESC Ltd, an RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group company that distributes electricity in Kolkata, for Rs 790 million.
A statement from Torrent Power on Tuesday said the assets belong to the CESC subsidiary. Surya Vidyut and they are spread over Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. The projects have 25-year power purchase agreements with the respective state-owned companies for a period with a weighted average rate of Rs 4.68 per unit.
