Torrent Pharma dividend news: Drug maker Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd, NSE: TORNTPHARM, has declared an interim dividend to its shareholders. On Wednesday, January 25, Torrent Pharma's board of directors announced that it would pay a whopping 280 percent dividend upon publishing third-quarter results.

The Ahmedabad-based company in an exchange filing said it will pay an interim dividend of Rs 14 per equity share of par value Rs 5 each. "An interim dividend of 14/- (280%) per fully paid capital share of Rs 5/-," the company said in the filing.
Torrent Pharma dividend payment date
The dividend amount will be credited directly to the shareholders' bank account linked to their Demat account on the payment date. The payment date will be February 14. "The dividend is expected to be paid/dispatched around February 14, 2023," it added in the document.
Meanwhile, Torrent Pharma shares traded at Rs 1,530 down 1.70 percent or Rs 24.75 apiece on the NSE around midday on Friday. The stock has returned a modest return of around 14 percent in the past year.
Torrent Pharma Q3 FY23 Results
Torrent Pharma said on Wednesday that its consolidated net profit increased by 14% to Rs 283 crore in the third quarter ended December 31, 2022. The pharmaceutical company had reported a net profit of Rs 249 crore in the October to December of the previous fiscal year.
The company's net sales rose to Rs 2,459 crore in the quarter under review compared to Rs 2,092 crore in the same period a year earlier, the company said in a regulatory filing.
