Ahmedabad: Torrent Power Limited will configure 306 megawatts connected to the network solar energy project across 48 locations in Nashik for Rs 1,540 crore. It received an award letter for the project from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co Ltd (MSEDCL) on Thursday and is expected to commission the project within 18 months. The project tariff is Rs 3.10/kWh for 25 years.
With this project, Torrent's renewable capacity under construction rises to 1.7 GW. Once these projects are completed, Torrent's renewable capacity will increase to 3 GW in the next 18-24 months. tnn

NLC India Green Energy signs PPA for solar power project with GUVNL
NLC India Green Energy Limited (NIGEL) has signed a PPA with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) for a 600 MW solar power project at Khavda Solar Park, Gujarat. GUVNL will purchase all the power generated at a tariff of Rs 2,705/kWh. The project aims to generate 1,577.88 million units annually and offset 35.5 million metric tons of CO2 emissions.
