Torrent Power Limited is a holding company based in India. The Company operates in three segments: generation, transmission and distribution, and renewable energy. The Generation segment includes the generation of energy from thermal sources (gas and coal) and the commercialization of Regasified Liquefied Natural Gas. Transmission and Distribution includes transmission and distribution businesses (licensed and franchised) and related ancillary services. The segment also comprises the power cables business. The Renewable Energy segment consists of power generation from renewable energy sources, including wind and solar. It has a thermal power generation capacity of 3,092 megawatts (MW), with a combination of coal, gas, solar and wind power plants. It also operates in the renewable energy segment with 787 MW of capacity, bringing the aggregate installed generation capacity to 4,110 MW. The Company has installed approximately 249 kilometers (km) and 105 km of 400 kV double circuit transmission lines.
