New Delhi: torrent power said on Wednesday that it has won a contract to supply 920 MW of gas-fired electricity from its DGEN and HUNGRY plants under a tender of NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigal Ltd. (NVVN).
He ministry of power had designated NVVN as nodal agency for the acquisition of up to 4,000 MW of energy from gas-fired plants during the identified critical period (April 10, 2023 to May 16, 2023, with actual consumption for 21 days). The NVVN had submitted a tender for this on March 10, 2023.
torrent power had participated in the electronic tender and itsBSEeRA (electronic reverse auction) and awarded 920 MW (770 MW of DGEN plant and 150 MW of HUNGRY plant), one BSE presentation on Wednesday said.
The presentation was a clarification to a news item about the award of the energy supply contract to Torrent Power within the framework of the tender presented by the NVVN.
