torrent power: Torrent Completes Acquisition Of 50mw Solar Plant In Maha | Ahmedabad News โ€“ Times of India

Ahmedabad: limited power torrent (TPL) announced on Friday that it completed the acquisition of the 50 megawatt (MW) solar plant in Maharashtraowned by Light Source India Limited and Light source Renewable Energy (India) capped at Rs 300 crore. The company has completed the acquisition of 100% of the equity and securities of LREHL Renewables India SPV1 (SPV). The company operates a 50 MW solar power plant that was commissioned in April 2018.
With the acquisition of a 50 MW solar power plant, Torrent Power's total generation capacity, including the portfolio under development, will reach 4.6 GW with a renewable portfolio of more than 1.5 GW.
Lightsource (LSbp) is a global strategic partnership between Lightsource Renewable Energy and British Petroleum. Indian light source is the foreign holding company, jointly owned by LSbp (51%) and UK Climate Investments LLP (UKCI) (49%).
The company has a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited for 25 years for full capacity at a rate of Rs 4.43 per kilowatt hour.
Torrent Power currently has an aggregate installed generation capacity of 4.1 GW, consisting largely of clean generation sources such as gas (2.7 GW) and renewables (1.0 GW). It also has a capacity of 0.4 GW of renewable energy plants under development.
