Torrent Power Wins Sword of Honour And Globe of Honour Awards From British Safety Council

Torrent Power has won the British Safety Council's prestigious Sword of Honor award for excellence in the field of health and safety and the Globe of Honor award in the field of environmental sustainability for its distribution operations in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and Surat. The company's Mega Power Project SUGEN also received the Sword of Honor award for the second time this year.

To compete for the Sword of Honor and Globe of Honor awards, an organization goes through a comprehensive health, safety and environmental audit program. The organization must demonstrate, to an independent panel of experts, its excellence in health and safety and environmental stewardship across the business and must also achieve five stars (>92 per cent score) in the British Safety Council's rigorous audit scheme .
