Fundamentally, the energy supply, including the energy in the storage system, must come from renewable sources. The rate, upon mutual agreement of the parties involved, will be leveled each year based on a discount factor of 7.7 percent.
Developers have the flexibility to integrate energy storage systems (ESS) either within the project or through a separate link with a third party. Renewable generation components and ESS facilities can be strategically located, either in joint locations or on separate sites. Additionally, various components of RTC power, encompassing solar, wind, hydropower and others, can be interconnected with the Interstate Transmission System (ISTS) grid at different ISTS substations.
