Version 4 of the most widely used FOSS BitTorrent client is here, and it's worth checking out if you're having any difficulties with streaming media services.
Transmission it is the default BitTorrent client for quite a few Linux distributions. As a general rule we recommend against run any zero point release of, well, just about anything if you have a choice in the matter. That being said though, Transmission 3.0 came out almost three years ago, in May 2020, and there was never a zero point one version. It just worked from the day it came out. That's pretty much unheard of these days, and as such we're cautiously hoping that, while apparently a total rewrite in C++: famously a bad idea - 4.0 it should be pretty good.

Just a dozen people on your continent sharing can be enough to get you an ISO in minutes.
Yes, some people use it to share naughty copies. Don't do that and don't download proprietary software - if you're on a torrent site, it's stolen and probably deliberately planted with viruses. For playback, VLC is pretty reliable, just be scrupulous keeping it updatedand run it on Linux, not Windows.
