During her decade of experience as Special Inspector General for the Troubled Asset Relief Program, Goldsmith Romero led efforts to monitor and strengthen distressed financial institutions. Most recently, as commissioner of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, she has promoted the integrity and resilience of U.S. markets. โGoldsmith Romero has the experience and expertise necessary to lead the FDIC, and I call on my colleagues in the Senate to quickly approve her nomination.โ
