The overflow of the Sillaro stream, late in the afternoon of Tuesday, May 2, 2023, is causing serious disturbances and flooding in the Massa Lombarda area, on the border between the provinces of Ravenna and Bologna. The causes related to the heavy rainfall that has fallen in the last 48 hours in most of the region, very intense and abundant in the Apennine area.
Water overflows from the embankment, flooding several inhabited areas and evacuations are also taking place as a precautionary measure. Residents of via di Conselice and the neighboring municipalities of Cardinale and Montalbotto evacuated their homes around 7:00 p.m. on May 2.
