Dramatic images posted on social media have shown the shocking moment when cars were washed away by flash floods in Arizona.
CBS 5 and 3TV Meteorologist Ian Schwartz shared the images provided by a Flag's stick Resident in Twitter Thursday with the caption: โWow !!! Big flash floods this afternoon. "
The short clip shows a Toyota The Prius is swept downstream amid a torrent of murky water, and the car crashes into other vehicles before it is out of sight.

โI was definitely worried about our neighbors across the street because the water was actually reaching the garage level, but it was not reaching our side of the street,โ she said.
The local resident told the outlet that the torrent of flooding lasted 30 minutes and that she saw neighbors' mailboxes and garbage containers washed out in front of the car.
"This was pretty surreal for us," said Landy, who works overnight at a hospital, he told 3TV. She had been awakened by shock.
A flash flood watch remains in effect for several areas in southeastern Arizona through Thursday night, the National Weather Service said.
"Slow rains and thunderstorms capable of producing very heavy rain are expected to affect the area through Thursday night," the NWS said.
Wednesday was the second day of flash flooding that area residents saw. The Republic of Arizona reported, and Coconino County ordered its residents to shelter in place.
"I think we're also tired that this is only the second day and we have rain for the rest of the week, so that kind of anticipation is what makes us a little more nervous," Landy said.
