WA slump to big defeat to Allies in U18s carnival opener

Western Australia fell to an 88-point loss to a powerful Allies team in their opening game of the AFL Under-18 National Championship at Adelaide's Thebarton Oval on Sunday.

The Black Swans conceded eight straight goals from late in the first quarter to midway through the third, with the score of 16.12 (108) to 2.8 (20) out of the question as they kicked off their second and final Grand Slam.
