Walmart delivery of online orders expanded to early morning hours

The race to be the retailer of choice buyers who need products delivered as soon as possible.

Walmart now delivers from 6am and you can receive your order there in 30 minutes, the world's largest retailer announced on Friday. Previously, the first orders were at 8 in the morning.

In September, Walmart extended express delivery until 10:00 p.m. on orders placed before 9:30 p.m.

Extending delivery times "is about creating a set of pickup and delivery options that prioritize convenience, speed and put the customer at the center," said Walmart US executive vice president and head of e-commerce, Tom Ward. he said at that time.

Among morning needs, Walmart highlights in its new Early Morning On-Demand Express Delivery ad: baby essentials like diapers, emergency wardrobe refills, and kitchen appliances like blenders.

Walmart will even help early birds get rid of the worm. Later this month, the retailer will begin delivering live bait from more than 3,000 of its stores, to help those heading out on a morning fishing trip.
