Head of Warner Bros. Discovery David Zaslav He had a hard time getting his words out at the Boston University commencement ceremony... because the crowd was booing him with a barrage of "boos" over the ongoing writers' strike.
Zaslav was the commencement speaker on Sunday for the BU class of 2023, but in the sea of caps and gowns, many graduates gave him their input as he tried to inspire…talking about dealing with difficult people.

The chant, "PAY YOUR WRITERS," was deafening, to the point that Zaslav had to pause as the crowd roared in disapproval.
There were protests outside the venue and some of the protesters even made it to the event.

The WGA calls for fair wages and a ban on AI in writers' rooms. The strike has been going on for almost 4 weeks and there is no end in sight.

we have seen a lot celebrities and food trucks appearing at protests across the country... and there was even a very funny anti AI banner flying high in the sky, aimed at Zaslav and the other studio heads.
Zaslav never talked about the WGA strike during his long speech... but it seems the people in the audience handled that topic for him.
