Watch: Glass slide breaks as rafts zoom towards 10-metre void at Chinese tourist attraction

Tourists in China have narrowly escaped injury after a glass slide it broke, causing a series of collisions between inflatable rafts and leaving visitors teetering on the edge of a precipice.

The video was filmed in Huize County in Yunnan Province on July 23.

TO glass slide segment it had completely detached, leaving a gap in the slide more than 10 meters above the ground.

A steady torrent of water gushed down the slide, where an inflatable boat, carrying a handful of petrified tourists, dangled precariously. Two more rafts behind, each with passengers, rushed down the slide and collided one after another.

A woman is heard repeatedly yelling, "Get down quick!"

The passengers subsequently managed to abandon their rafts, cautiously making their way down the fractured slide.

A staff member at the tourist attraction stated that the waterslide attraction is currently closed and under repair, and will likely reopen to the public in about a week.

A local government spokesperson in Yuluk Township confirmed that no one was injured in the incident.

Meanwhile, a representative from the Huize County Bureau of Culture and Tourism stated that an investigation into the incident is underway.
