Torrent, the magical horse-goat that allows you to move elden ring world at cruising speeds, is one of the highlights of the game, but that's not to say they're perfect.

The health issue stems from the fact that Torrent doesn't go by the same script (linking them to a specific point on the map) as other NPCs, though Zullie points out in the video below that there are plenty of other ways to do it. quickly recover Torrent's health, either by feeding them, drinking potions, or simply letting them regenerate naturally (Torrent "passively regenerates" 3HP per second).
Now in the falling thing, unchained when Torrent falls off a ledge instead of jumping, and leaving the player unable to trigger a second jump and thus launch themselves to their demise. Zullie explains in the video that it's not really a random act of cruelty, but a bug that only affects players who have certain types of weapons (tier 2 and 3, like greatswords, spears, etc.) certain ways (like over the shoulder).
