Galaxy Z Fold 3 Y Z Flip 3 the leaks have gone from a steady trickle to a full-blown torrent as we head towards Samsung Unpacked Event on August 11 , with almost every aspect of the upcoming foldables already unofficially revealed.
The latest revelation comes from a trusted leaker Evan blass , who has released a very official-looking image of Samsung's foldable on Twitter, along with a host of additional details.
As we can see in the image below, both folding devices are shown with water splashes on them, apparently confirming an earlier report that the Samsung Galaxy Fold 3 and Flip 3 can be completely waterproof - something that Blass also backs up by stating that both phones will have an IPX8 water resistance rating.
Display and camera specifications
Additionally, Blass's tweet also includes a number of details (not yet confirmed) about the Galaxy Z Fold 3 Y Galaxy Z Flip 3 screens, camera arrays and assumptions S Pen support .
According to Blass, the Z Flip 3 will feature a 6.7-inch internal screen, while the outer side of the cover will offer a smaller 1.9-inch screen. Meanwhile, the Z Fold 3 will reportedly feature internal 7.6-inch and external 6.2-inch displays.
In terms of camera specs, Blass says the Z Flip 3 will offer dual 12MP sensors on its rear, along with a 10MP selfie camera, while the Z Fold 3 is said to have three 12MP rear sensors, a 10MP selfie camera on its cover and a 4MP selfie camera to use when unfolded.
S Pen support could be a game changer
It has long been rumored that Samsung would not release a Galaxy Note 21 this year, and that has already been officially confirmed by the company's Head of Mobile Communications today.
Fortunately, all signs point towards full stylus functionality on this year's Galaxy Z Fold 3, something Blass backs up in his latest leak as well. Blass claims that the Z Fold 3 will offer support for not one, but two optional S Pen, which will supposedly be called the S Pen Pro and the S Pen Fold Edition.
Incorporating S Pen functionality into this year's top-end folding is sure to help fill the void left by the Note's absence this year, and will likely go a long way toward legitimizing Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 3 for power users. .
Of course, none of the information above can be confirmed at this point, as we are still waiting for Samsung to officially reveal the devices. With that said, we imagine it will all be revealed at the South Korean electronics giant's upcoming Unpacked event on August 11.
